The CREST Reasoning Olympiad (CRO) is an international competitive exam held online for students in Grades 1-10. There will be only one level for all the classes. The exam is an objective-type test that the students need to complete in 60 minutes.

The exam consists of two sections:

Section-1: Logical Reasoning
Section-2: Achievers Section

Other Important Information:

a. There are separate question papers for each and every class.

b. The medium of the exam is English.

c. CBSE, ICSE/ISC and other State Board syllabus is followed for the setting of test papers.

d. The online exams are conducted on web-enabled devices like laptop, tablet or desktop with webcam. Mobile devices are not allowed.

e. For students of grade 1, the parent/teacher can assist the child in guiding through the questions.

f. In case the registration is not through school, the student will have to take exam from home.

How to participate in Reasoning Olympiad?

Registration of Students through schools: Students from classes 1-10 are eligible to take CREST Reasoning Olympiad. Prospectus containing the registration forms are sent to all schools registered with CREST Olympiads for Reasoning Olympiad. If your school is not registered with us, then please send an email to info@crestolympiads.com and we will send you the prospectus soon. It is mandatory for schools to return the registration forms to CREST Olympiads, duly filled in and complete in all respects by the due date.

Registration for individual participants: If your school does not conduct Reasoning Olympiad, then you can register as an individual participant as well. The link for the online registration for individual participants is here.

Syllabus & Exam Pattern for Reasoning Olympiad

The CREST Reasoning Olympiad is a new and unique way of enhancing students' reasoning capabilities. Reasoning skill is always considered to be a prime factor of importance in most competitive exams. CRO exam examines students' ability to analyze and make decisions logically. Just like other skills, students can improve and develop their reasoning ability. The syllabus for the CREST Reasoning Olympiad is differently set for each class with a slight increase in difficulty. The exam majorly covers areas like patterns, geometric shapes, analogy, spatial understanding, coding-decoding and many more such topics.

As we read above, the CRO question paper is divided into 2 sections. Each section has a different marking scheme. The marking scheme varies for each class.

a. For grades 1-4, the total weightage of the paper is 45 marks.
b. For grades 5-10, the total weightage of the paper is 60 marks.

Dates & Fee for Reasoning Olympiad

The exam dates for CREST Reasoning Olympiad (CRO) for the Academic Year 2024-25 are as given below:

The exam fee is INR 225 for students studying and enrolling from India. For students studying and residing outside of India, the fee is country specific.

How to prepare for Reasoning Olympiad?

Having a good and strong preparation for the CREST Reasoning Olympiad examination is very crucial. Students must seriously focus on every topic and concept during the preparation. One must thoroughly read and understand the syllabus and make a study plan accordingly. Focus and dedicated hours of study is a must to ace the exam. Students can also consider making small notes of what they have studied. This way it becomes easier for children to revise before the exam. 5. How is the Reasoning Olympiad exam conducted?

The mode of conducting the exam is online. During the exam, the camera permission has to be granted to track the child's authenticity giving the exam.

6. Can I give the Olympiad exam after class 12th?

All national or international Olympiad exams can only be attempted by students enrolled in Classes 1 to 12. Therefore, only pre-university candidates can take part in these exams. So, if any student has completed their 12th standard examination, they will not be able to appear for the Olympiad exams.
