In the bustling world of education, where textbooks meet technology, a remarkable initiative is quietly shaping the future. The International Green Warrior Olympiad (IGWO), tailored for grade 4, stands as a beacon of hope, illuminating the path toward a sustainable future. This innovative program not only educates young minds but also nurtures a generation of eco-conscious leaders.
The International Green Warrior Olympiad is not just an exam; it’s a transformative experience designed exclusively for grade 4 students. Focused on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Olympiad offers a unique platform where children can explore, learn and engage with critical environmental issues.
At its core, the GWO aims to raise awareness among these young learners. Through interactive learning modules and engaging activities, students delve into the heart of environmental challenges. They comprehend the intricate web of climate change, biodiversity, and sustainable living. By understanding these complex issues, they become advocates for change within their communities.
The Olympiad doesn’t stop at awareness; it mobilizes action. By participating in exams aligned with the SDGs, these budding environmentalists find their voice. They learn that their actions matter, no matter how small. Whether it’s reducing plastic usage, planting trees, or conserving energy, every effort counts in the fight for a sustainable planet.
By considering the importance of learning sustainable resources for class 4 students, CREST Olympiads which is the World’s Most Innovative Olympiad Exam and is conducted at an international level with students participating from 60+ countries and 6000+ schools, took an initiative for school students by introducing the competition of International Green Warrior Olympiad for class 4.

a. Any school, any board and any country: all Class 4 students qualify to enter the International Green Warrior Olympiad. Registration happens through a school that has signed up with CREST, or individually.
b. There is one sitting and no second level in the class 4 International Green Warrior Olympiad; CREST bases its IGWO awards on Level 1.
c. Nobody helps during the exam. The webcam keeps an eye on the session, so the child's face should be fully visible from start to finish.
d. Hardware is simple to arrange: a tablet or a laptop or desktop computer with a webcam and a screen above the 11.5-inch mark, whether that is a Mac, an iPad or a Windows machine running Windows 8 or above. A mobile will not be accepted as the exam device. CREST recommends an up-to-date Google Chrome (Edge and Firefox are alternatives; Safari is not) and a stable internet connection.
e. The length matches Class 3: fifty questions, one hour.
f. The free trial is available before any payment and behaves like the real exam, which makes it a sensible first step.
1. Depth instead of new ground. With the Class 3 list repeated word for word, a child who took IGWO last year can spend Class 4 going further into areas such as threats to life on land or energy-efficient appliances.
2. Top of the world in Class 4. One Hall of Fame profile shows a Green Warrior International Rank 1 won in Class 4 in the 2023-24 session.
3. Thinking creatively. Creative thinking is what one Class 4 review says CREST develops, along with space for children to learn and to test what they know through practice.
4. A subject that grabs attention. Another Class 4 testimonial says the Olympiads let children show their knowledge and ability and create more interest in the subject.

The class 4 International Green Warrior Olympiad repeats the Class 3 syllabus exactly, so nothing is added or removed this year. The Green Warrior Olympiad syllabus for class 4 is grouped as follows:
Since the content is familiar, Class 4 is a good year for the parts that need more thought. Access to clean energy asks how a lack of it affects communities. Energy conservation covers energy-efficient appliances and lighting. Responsible energy use gives everyday examples, such as turning off a computer screen when it is not in use and putting a lid on a pot or pan.
Sustainable materials asks children to tell paper, cloth and glass apart from harmful materials such as plastics. On land, the threats listed are urbanization, pollution, land degradation, wildfires, poaching and illegal wildlife trade; under the water, they are overfishing, habitat destruction, pollution, climate change, coastal development and human disturbance.
The last theme lists the factors affecting agriculture and food security: climate, soil, land, water, poverty and population. Sustainable farming practices and food safety are also listed.
Fifty multiple-choice questions over an hour make up the Class 4 paper, worth 60 marks in total: 40 Green Champ questions at a mark apiece and 10 Green Challenger questions at two. IGWO stops at one level, and marks are never deducted for a wrong choice. Class 5 sticks with this same list.

Practice Test 2 Dates: 20th and 21st November 2026 Level 1 Dates: 14th and 23rd January 2027 |
Plan two rounds for the class 4 International Green Warrior Olympiad. In round one, go through the eight themes at one theme per weekend, which takes eight weekends. In round two, move on to papers and revise the topics that caused mistakes.
Give each theme a real task. Read the electricity bill together and look for ways to lower it. Make a chart of threats to life on land and under water, with one example of each. Visit a local water body and talk about what pollutes it. Collect labels from packets and sort the materials into biodegradable and non-biodegradable.
For round two, the class 4 Green Warrior Olympiad sample papers give ten sample questions with answers and a full sample paper as a PDF. After each attempt, ask your child which theme each wrong answer came from and spend the next session there.
The clock allows 72 seconds per question, 50 questions across 60 minutes. Green Challenger questions count double, so they should not be rushed. Since IGWO does not take marks away for errors, every question deserves an answer.
The free trial settles nerves about the platform and the webcam; Practice Test 2 then serves as a last timed run. Entries go through the International Green Warrior Olympiad sign-up page.
