The Class 7 paper runs for an hour and holds 50 questions worth 60 marks in total, forty single-mark reasoning items followed by ten double-mark Achievers items. CRO deducts nothing for wrong answers, and there is one level only.

The exam fee is INR 275 for students studying and enrolling from India. For students studying and residing outside of India, the fee is USD 15.

Try that for the class 7 Reasoning Olympiad. Count back six weeks from your exam slot and give each week a theme. Give week 1 to series, analogy and classification, and coding, and week 2 to blood relations, direction sense and Venn diagrams. In week 3 cover alphabet, word order, alpha-numeric puzzles and mathematical operations, and in week 4 the figure topics, from mirror images to dot situations. Use the final fortnight for full papers.

Within each week, spend the first days on the rule behind each question type and the rest on speed. For Cubes and Dice and Paper Folding and Paper Cutting, a real sheet of paper still beats imagining.

Use the class 7 Reasoning Olympiad sample papers for the full papers and the CREST Class 7 workbook (on the Olympiad books page) for topic practice. Each question gets 72 seconds on average, so if a figure question is eating time, guess and come back to it later.

In the last week, stop learning new tricks. Redo the questions you got wrong in the first four weeks, take the free trial if you have not tried it, and check that your slot is booked. Sleep matters more than one extra paper the night before.

Class 7 Reasoning cut-off & rankings will publish the cut-off marks for the level 1 exam. The Reasoning Olympiad cut-off is the minimum number of points required to pass the exam. CREST Olympiads CRO cut-off marks will be posted on the official website. Students will be able to determine the probability of the selection by matching their probable score with the answer key.

Class 7 Reasoning Olympiad answer key will get published in January. The CRO answer keys will be available on the students' dashboard. With the CRO answer key, students will be able to calculate their likely scores.

CREST usually declares the class 7 Reasoning Olympiad results inside a month of the closing answer key date. The login you created when registering opens it, under the Performance section where you choose CRO.

Medal cut-points sit at the 96th percentile for gold, the 93rd for silver and the 90th for bronze, and a top-10 zonal rank also counts for gold. Trophies go to the top 3 in the world.

Medals, trophies and certificates are sent to the school or home address you gave at registration. Rank holders and cut-off details are also published on the Awards and Cut-off and Ranking Criteria pages once results are out. No second round follows these results.

b. The top 5% of students will receive a medal and a certificate of distinction.

c. A certificate of merit will be awarded to the top three students from each school with more than 25 students in the class.

d. The top three students in each of the ten classes will receive an Achievers Trophy and a Merit Certificate.

e. Each participant will receive a digital participation certificate. This will appear on the participant's Dashboard.

1. Can an individual class 7 student participate in the Reasoning Olympiad?
