Eight SDG-based themes shape the Class 8 exam. The Class 8 Olympiad looks at how well students grasp environmental issues, how they reason about possible solutions and how they bring that knowledge into everyday decisions.

b) Questions are based on 8 of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals and explore how progress on one goal supports the others, along with the part played by people, communities and governments.

Exam Fee

Class 8 students can prepare well by working through the syllabus theme by theme and asking how each topic connects to the others, for example how the use of fossil fuels links to air pollution, climate change and water scarcity. A simple concept map for each theme keeps these links clear.

Look for sustainable ideas in your own city, such as cycle lanes, metro or bus routes, waste segregation or rooftop solar panels. Finish by solving CREST sample papers in one-hour sittings to get used to the MCQ format and pace.

International Green Warrior Olympiad Registration

Answer key dates for the Class 8 International Green Warrior Olympiad (IGWO) are announced online. The key generally comes out within a week after the final exam date and can be seen only by students who appeared.

The cut-off for the Class 8 IGWO is also published on the CREST website.

Results for Class 8 usually follow around a month after the answer key period ends. With no Level 2 in the International Green Warrior Olympiad (IGWO), students learn their final standing for 2026-27 in a single announcement.

1. Who can appear for the Class 8 IGWO?

The paper is made up of multiple-choice questions (MCQs), answered online within one hour. The IGWO sample papers for class 8 show the question style.

3. Are marks deducted for wrong answers in the Class 8 IGWO?

No. There is no negative marking in the Class 8 IGWO, so a wrong answer does not reduce the score.
