Make Scratch hands-on: build a small project with a loop and an if/else, and change a variable between a number, a word and a yes/no value. Then write your first Python line. For numbers, convert a few decimal numbers to binary and back until it is quick. In Excel, practise SUM, AVERAGE, COUNT, COUNTA, MAX and MIN, add conditional formatting, and make a chart; in PowerPoint, try transitions, a video and a master slide.

For the theory, draw the six network topologies (bus, star, mesh, ring, tree, hybrid) from memory. Learn the browsing protocols (WWW, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SFTP) and try a search with site:edu or site:gov. Make flashcards for the robot sensors, the types of AI, the hacker hats and the processor makers in the list.
