Global Competition, Zonal Recognition

The ranking in CREST Olympiads is given as per zones. We have categorised zones into East, West, North, South and International.

Besides an international rank, each student gets a rank within their zone, so a strong result is recognised close to home too. Open a zone below to see the states and union territories in it; students outside India are in the International zone.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many zones are there in CREST Olympiads?

There are five zones: East, West, North, South and International. The four Indian zones are made up of states and union territories, and the International zone covers every student outside India.

What is a zonal rank?

A zonal rank is a student's rank among the students of the same class in their zone, alongside the international rank. Ranks are given from Class 2 onwards; Nursery to Class 1 exams are not ranked.

What award does a top zonal rank get?

In Classes 2 to 12, every student with a zonal rank of 10 or better gets a Gold Medal and a Merit Certificate. See Awards & Recognition for all awards.

How are ranks decided when students score the same marks?

In two-level olympiads, Level 1 marks break the tie first. After that, the student who finished the test in less time ranks higher, and then the younger student. The full rules are on Cut-Offs & Ranking Criteria.
