Pollution

Pollution refers to anything that causes the Earth to become unclean and unhealthy.

Pollution makes the air, water, and places around us not safe for plants, animals, and us.

Air Pollution

1. Air pollution happens when the air we breathe is not clean.
2. Breathing in dirty air can make living things, including us, sick.
3. Burning things like petrol, coal, and wood, along with car exhaust, add to air pollution.

Water Pollution

1. Water pollution is when bad stuff mixes with water in rivers, oceans, and lakes.
2. Oil, plastics and garbage make water dirty and harmful for living creatures.

Noise Pollution

1. Noise pollution is when too much loud and long-lasting noise hurts our ears.
2. Honking, loud gadgets, planes, and even traffic create noise pollution.
3. Too much noise can make it hard to hear well, disturb sleep, and even make us feel worried or anxious.

How to Prevent Pollution?

Follow 3Rs: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle

• Don't use too much of things like plastic bags and toys.
• Use things again instead of throwing them away.
• Put things like paper and bottles in special bins so they can be made into new things.

1. We should not throw trash in rivers or oceans and keep water clean.



2. Instead of using cars all the time, use buses or trains. They are better for the air.



3. Avoid making too much noise with gadgets and don't honk too much.
