What is a Gender?

Gender is a way of describing whether a person is a boy, girl or other.

Types of Gender

1. Masculine

Words like boy, father, uncle, grand father which are used to mean anyone who is a male, are called masculine gender words.

2. Feminine

Words like girl, mom, aunt and grand mother, which are used to mean anyone from the female gender, are called feminine gender words.

3. Neuter Gender

When we talk about non-living things like car, tree, house, pen we are talking about neuter gender.
