Mathematics Olympiad Book for Junior KG

Built on the Junior KG syllabus of the CREST Mathematics Olympiad (CMO), this book will take children a step past Nursery. Counting goes up to 50, number names are learnt up to 20, and children start using greater than, less than and equal to. Heart, star and oval join the circle, square, triangle and rectangle, and the comparison questions add heavy and light and full and empty to big and small, tall and short, and same and different.

Higher Order Thinking Questions in the Achievers Section draw on these same topics, so there is nothing extra to learn.

Who is it for? Children of 4 to 5 in Junior KG, with a parent or teacher sitting alongside. That is also how the exam works: an adult may explain what a question asks, and the answer is the child's own.
