How to Spell Related

Syllables: re - lat - ed

Tricky part: Relate already ends in e, so only a d is added. Students sometimes double the t or slip an i into the middle.

Watch out for: relatted, relaited, rellated

Memory tip: Relate + d. The e is already at the end of relate, so you add only the d, the same way create becomes created.
