What does recite mean?

Meaning: Recite means to say a poem or some lines aloud from memory, often in front of other people.

How do you spell recite?

Syllables: re - cite

Tricky part: The s sound in the middle is spelt with a c, and there is a quiet e at the end. An s in place of the c and a missing final e are the two slips to watch.

Watch out for: reseit, risite

Memory tip: The c in recite says s because an i comes right after it, just as in city.
