How to Spell Quotation

Syllables: quo - ta - tion

Tricky part: Quote drops its final e before ation. Students also swap the u and o and write qoutation.

Watch out for: quotetion, qoutation, quotasion

Memory tip: Quote becomes quotation the same way note becomes notation: the e falls away and ation joins on.
