Syllables: ex - cel - lent

Tricky part: Two traps sit close together: the c that hides after the x (the x and c together make the ks-s sound) and the double l. The ending is ent, never ant.

Watch out for: exellent, excelent, excellant

Memory tip: Build it from excel, which already ends in l. Add a second l and then ent: excel + l + ent.
