Meaning: Age means the number of years someone or something has lived. Your age goes up by one on every birthday.

How do you spell age?

Syllables: age

Tricky part: The sound at the end of age is a j sound, but it is spelt with a g. Children who write what they hear put a j there.

Watch out for: aje, adge
