How to Spell After

Syllables: af - ter

Tricky part: Only one f, followed directly by t. The ending is er, not ar.

Watch out for: affter, aftar, afer

Memory tip: Sailors call the back part of a ship aft. Add er and you have after, the word for what comes behind or later.
