Olympiad Exams in United Arab Emirates

There are many Olympiad exams that are organized by various organizations for students of grades 1-12. You can find all the details of all these exams below:

Note: Olympiad exam registration generally takes place through school. But few exams accept individual registrations.

 

  • English Olympiad Qualifier

All students are eligible to participate in the English Olympiad Qualifier in UAE.  It is one of the UAE’s largest Olympiad contests. Held for classes 1 to 12. It provides a broad scope of choices for subjects. Open to all genres (British, Indian, American, IB, etc.)

  • Math Olympiad in UAE

There are 3 sections in the Question Paper-

Section A- Mathematical Reasoning

Section B- Everyday Mathematics

Section C- Logical Reasoning

Applicants must be a student in the school and studying in grade 2-11 to participate in the Olympiad.

  • Chemistry Olympiad Qualifiers

The Preliminary Olympiad Qualifier is an MCQ type of test which consists of 30 questions of Chemistry. While the Final Olympiad Qualifier is a Subjective type of test which consists of 6 questions. The applicant must qualify for the Chemistry Preliminary Olympiad qualifier.

The applicant must not be older than 20 years.

Chemistry Olympiad Qualifier is a UAE-level Chemistry Olympiad. The International  Chemistry Olympiad is officially represented by the International Olympiad Foundation in UAE.

  • General Knowledge Olympiad

This exam has 4 sections in the question Paper-

Section A- General Awareness

Section B- Current Affairs- India and International

Life Skills

The time allotted for solving these questions is 1hour. 

ISFO General Knowledge Olympiad is a test of proficiency and competence in General knowledge, based on subjects like History, Geography, Current Affairs and General Science.

  • International Olympiad in Informatics

There are 6 different subtasks and the score of the problem depends on the effectiveness of the algorithm. However, the pattern of the paper changes slightly every year. An applicant should be a student who was enrolled at a school for secondary education, in the Country, they are representing, during the period September to December in the year before International Olympiad in Informatics, and must be not older than 20 years on the 1 July of the year of International Olympiad in Informatics.

  • Physics Olympiad Qualifier

Preliminary Olympiad Qualifier- 30 questions from Physics(objective).

Final Olympiad Qualifier- 6 questions from Physics(subjective).

The applicant must qualify for the Physics Preliminary Olympiad qualifier that will be conducted during the period from Mid October to Mid November. You must be a student in a school/completing a school but not enrolled in any University.

  • Science Olympiad Qualifier

To participate in the olympiad you must qualify for the Science Preliminary Olympiad qualifier that will be conducted during the time period of mid of October to mid of November. The Preliminary Olympiad qualifier is the MCQ test. It consists of 30 questions i.e, 10 questions from each subject (Physics, Chemistry, Biology). The Preliminary Olympiad qualifier is held in UAE in all the Emirates.

  • Intermediate Stem Olympiad

The online test consists of 20 questions of 1 mark each. However, the pattern of the paper changes slightly every year. The students of 6th to 7th Grade (11-12 years of age) are eligible to appear for the Intermediate Stem Olympiad. Students of 4th to 5th Grade (8-10 years of age) can appear for the Junior Stem Olympiad while students of 13-15 years (8th to 9th Grade of age) can give the Senior Stem Olympiad.

The students will be tested in the fields of Advanced Maths, Science, General Knowledge, Astronomy and Computer Programming in the Intermediate Stem Olympiad and Preliminary Maths, Science, Vocabulary

  • Junior Stem Olympiad

The online test consists of 20 questions of 1 mark each. However, the pattern of the paper changes slightly every year. The students of age 8-10 years (4th to 5th Grade) are eligible to appear for the Junior Stem Olympiad. Students of age 11-12 years (6th to 7th Grade) can appear for the Intermediate Stem Olympiad while students of age 13-15 years (8th to 9th Grade) can enter the Senior Stem Olympiad.

The aim of this event is to find some of the brightest minds among students in Dubai. It is an event where the smartest and brightest minds in Dubai will come together under one roof to find who is the best.
