1. It is a very simple and basic concept of mathematics that we use every day.

Example: You have 10 toffees and gave away 5 of them to a poor boy. For your good work, you were gifted 10 toffees. What is the total number of toffees you have now?

Solution: You had 10 toffees but you gave away five of them so 10-5=5.
So now you were left with 5 toffees.
But you are gifted with 10 toffees and obviously, you had 5 toffees
so, 5+10=15 toffees.
